Aquarium Cake

This cake was made just for fun due to an inspiration in a Southern Living Ad!  The cake incorporated many different textures of food from goldfish crackers to taffy making it a blast to create!

Twilight Cake

This cake was originally a trial topsy turvey cake. However, after making the cakes only the top two tiers are topsy turvey. The cake is themed Twilight for the New Moon Premiere on Friday, November 20th, 2009 with homemade marble fondant, buttercream, and devil's food.

Cupcake..Cake

This giant cupcake was made for a friend's birthday. The cake is homemade red velvet and the classic cream cheese icing. Since the icing was homemade as well, there was a problem during the decorating process with the thickness of the icing causing it to drip. This was definately a learning process and with more time the icing issue could easily have been fixed. I really liked the giant cupcake idea overall and it's perfect for any age birthday!

Checkerboard Cake

This cake was made special for my roommates to celebrate their birthdays! The top tier is funfetti cake, the middle was yellow cake, and the bottom tier was devil's food cake. I actually used store bought icing for this cake and suprisingly it turned out pretty smooth over all. The girls loved the cake and it was eaten in probably about an hour's time.

Daisy Cake

This cake was the final cake for our Wilton fondant and gum paste class. Although this cake took quite a bit of time to decorate, I love the way it turned out. I really enjoy the way brown and blue compliment each other and it actually turned out really well on a cake. The daisies on the cake add a little splash of character to already bold cake. This cake is also my first complete fondant cake.

Music Cake

Made for Wilton Course 1 class, the final cake was our choice of decor and theme. Music is a big part of my life and I decided to make something simple but fun. I really enjoyed making the black and white parts because I felt like it gave sort of a "tuxedo" style to the cake and made it a little classier. I think this is one of the more enjoyable cakes I've made thus far in terms of decorating.

Clown Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made during the week three of our Wilton Course 1 class. The little alligator was my favorite of all. The variety of different designs was not part of the class, but we decided to change things up some during class.

Fish Cake

This cake was made for the Wilton Course 1 class. The borders are zigzag patterns and really bring out the bubble details. The fish transfer, zigzag, and script writing were the primary lessons incorporated in the day's class.

Gift Cake

A birthday cake made for one of my close friends. The starburst effect gave it an extra something something and the bow really topped the cake off.

Jeep Wrangler Cake

This jeep cake was by far my favorite cake. It was a four layer cake raised up to match the size of the wheels. The cake is a replica of my brother's jeep down to the last vent. Since it was his birthday, the number 18 was placed on the liscense plate.

Graduation Cake

This graduation cake was made for my brother's high school graduation . A graduation cap stacked on top of two books. The tassel is made of blue and yellow marshmellow fondant (high school colors). The books display Clemson colors (college colors). This is a great way to display a past, present, and future idea.
